After completing his military commitment, Byron returned to Kansas City where he joined a local corporate law firm and, later, built his own thriving firm. Over the course of his legal career, he appeared before the 2nd, 8th and 10th U.S. Circuit Courts, the U.S. Tax Court, the Supreme Court of the United States, and numerous state and local courts across the country.
After 25 years, Byron retired from the law and intended to be a stay at home father to his newborn son. That did not last long as he quickly realized how hard the task was, and soon jumped at an opportunity to enter the financial services industry. Personal finance has been one of his passions since business school. His legal background provides him with a unique ability to communicate with clients’ accounting, legal and other professional advisors.
Similar to the practice of law, Byron found that financial services is a 24/7/365 industry. Clients' financial concerns and issues do not always arise during a normal 8:00 to 5:00 work day, and he endeavors to respond to clients in a timely manner, regardless of the day or time. Today, after more than 20 years working with ultra high and high net worth clients, the intricacies of the financial services industry continue to be interesting and challenging. Each day is rewarding helping clients achieve their financial and life goals.
Byron splits his time between Tucson, AZ and La Jolla, CA, with offices in both locations.
