Managing Director - Financial Advisor, Senior Consulting Group
Ann Marie Etergino, the leader and founder of The Etergino Group, provides clients with customized and integrated wealth management solutions that help them secure the lives they wish to lead. Drawing on deep industry knowledge gained from 40 years in the business, she works with clients to address their most fundamental concerns and align their money with their life goals. She is known for the long-term, comprehensive approach she takes, and she is especially adept at handling clients’ multifaceted, complex financial needs with empathy and compassion as well as being particularly sensitive to issues women frequently face. She is also a trusted advisor to foundations, endowments and institutional clients.

She began her career in 1981 at Merrill Lynch. She joined Tucker Anthony in 1984 and served on its board of directors from 1998 until 2001, when it was acquired by RBC. She holds a Certified Investment Management Analyst® certification from Wharton and is a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association. She earned an undergraduate degree from Lafayette College.
Outside of the office, Ann Marie is actively involved in philanthropic work, focusing on causes that support the needs of marginalized women and children. She serves on the boards of Women for Women International, a nonprofit humanitarian organization that provides economic and social support to women survivors of war; Martha’s Table, a local nonprofit that increases access to quality education, health and wellness, and family resources to those in the D.C. area; and Collegiate Directions, a nonprofit that helps low-income, first-generation students from the Washington area to apply, attend and succeed in college. In all her interactions, Ann Marie goes beyond the numbers, always remembering that it’s one-on-one relationships that matter and ultimately bring about change. Committed to lifelong learning, she encourages the same with the young adults and high school students she mentors on finances and personal investing.
Associate Vice President - Financial Advisor
Trey, who has been working with The Etergino Group since 2014, has provided clients and their families with wealth management planning and investment strategies for more than 20 years. He focuses on understanding the unique financial circumstances and investment objectives of each client to create a customized financial analysis, including recommendations to help clients meet their specific goals. Trey also works closely with clients to implement the recommended strategy and incorporate their ongoing needs and changing life circumstances.
On top of helping clients succeed financially, Trey is also a student of the markets. After earning his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina, Trey earned his MBA in investment management from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Trey has also earned four industry designations and certifications: Chartered Financial Analyst®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst® and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor®. Each of these focuses on different aspects of the financial management industry and allows Trey to specialize in asset valuation, wealth planning, alternative investment analysis and retirement planning. In addition, Trey enjoys reading books on behavioral finance, which focuses on combining cognitive theories with economic theories to help understand human behavior when it comes to finance. Trey passed the Series 7, 63 and 65 exams and holds life and health insurance licenses. He was named to the Forbes list of America’s Top Next-Gen Wealth Advisors in 2019.
Outside of work, Trey spends most of his time with his two daughters, Susannah and Emma, and helping others increase their financial knowledge.
Mike plays a critical role on the team by helping customize asset allocations for each client’s unique needs. He also assists with performance reporting analysis, investment research and delivering overall wealth management solutions for clients.
With more than 20 years of financial industry experience, Mike shares service insights in a variety of areas. Prior to joining The Etergino Group, he had important client service responsibilities at RBC Wealth Management. During his time in investment consulting service operations, Mike supervised the performance reporting and reconciliation team. And as an internal wealth management consultant, he helped financial advisors across the country learn about the strategies and solutions available. Before joining RBC Wealth Management, Mike worked at Strong Investments in its discount brokerage and mutual fund business, both in sales and operations capacities.
Mike earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. Since graduating, he passed the Series 7, 63 and 65 exams.
Senior Investment Associate
Lubna assists in the day-to-day operations of The Etergino Group. She helps provide operational support by completing client requests and preparing meeting materials. She also manages and updates client information. Lubna received a bachelor’s degree in applied economic management with a concentration in financial planning from Virginia Tech in 2016. She passed the Series 7 and Series 66 exams.
Brian joined The Etergino Group in 2017 and assists with day-to-day operations and portfolio management. Brian received a bachelor’s degree in finance with a concentration in accounting from The College of William & Mary in 2014. He also passed the Series 7 and Series 66 exams. Prior to joining RBC Wealth Management, Brian held positions at Ernst & Young and Capital One.
Brian earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2024 and is an active member of the CFA Society of Washington, DC.
Senior Business Associate
Christine joined The Etergino Group in 2021 and assists the team in day-to-day operations and client support with a focus on operational efficiency and optimizing the client experience. Christine received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Penn State University and an MBA from Georgetown University. She passed the Series 7 and 66 exams. Prior to coming to RBC Wealth Management, Christine held positions at Lockheed Martin and The Carlyle Group.
