Giving back

We are dedicated to more than our clients—we also serve the local communities and organizations that we love. In fact, you could say that volunteering is built into our DNA as much as financial planning and portfolio management. Whether we are native Houstonians or simply lucky enough to call Houston our home, we all enjoy donating our time and energy to individual causes that we believe help make the world a better place.

Newborn Center at Texas Children’s Hospital

Texas Children’s Hospital holds a special place in the hearts of Les and his family.
In 1986, Cindy gave birth to their twin daughters 12 weeks before their due date, each weighing less than 3 pounds. The girls spent 12 weeks in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Texas
Children’s, now called the Newborn Center. In 2006 and 2007, Les served as chair of the organizing committee for the Bad Pants Open, a golf tournament benefiting the Newborn Center at Texas Children’s Hospital. To date, the event has raised more than $7 million to support our community’s sickest babies and their families.
Les and Marc are both members of the organizing committee for the Bad Pants Open. Marc hopes to continue Les’s legacy of being a long-time and impactful committee member. He takes great pride in picking out some of the wildest and wackiest “bad pant” outfits and playing a golf game to match all while supporting such an impactful cause!

Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center

Les has served on the board of directors and continues to support the efforts of the Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center and its mission of bringing people together and enriching lives through a variety of programming.

Marc currently serves as a member of the JCC Endowment Fund. Attune is also the proud returning sponsor of the annual family day at the Bertha Alyce Early Childhood School. The annual family day is a chance for relatives to celebrate the children and all that they have learned during the year. In 2024, Brian served as a Maccabi volunteer running the basketball tournament.

Jewish Federation of Greater Houston

Marc and his family became involved in the Jewish Federation in 2013 because it plays a critical role in enriching Jewish identity and daily life. Marc currently serves on both the Finance and Venture Philanthropy committees. Before becoming a board member, he served as an active participant in the Young Adult Division and completed the two-year Young Leadership Program. He enjoys supporting their vital and strategic programs, including financial assistance for those who cannot participate in camp, trips to Israel or mental health services.

Horn Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization

Marc and his family are currently involved with HISD's Horn Elementary School, where his oldest daughter, Reese, is a proud Cardinal. Attune is a PTO sponsor and both Marc and Lauren actively volunteer at the school.

Dress for Success

Melanie is the office liaison for RBC Wealth Management’s partnership with Dress for Success. Melanie takes great pride in her role and has been instrumental in rallying office-wide support.

Night Court

For nearly 30 years, our very own Les trades in his keyboard and spreadsheets for a pair of drumsticks during the annual production of Night Court, a musical comedy/variety show that raises funds for those in our community who cannot afford much-needed legal assistance.

Les Fox - RBC Wealth Management Volunteer of the Year 2016

Not long ago, RBC honored Les for helping children and others in need in the Houston area. “I am incredibly passionate about community involvement,” he said, “and I am very proud to be recognized for those efforts and to have made an impact in our community.”
