A proven process to finding financial clarity

Identify values, visions, and purposes

One of the important aspects of our planning is understanding your values, visions and purposes of your money. We want you to be able to have your money work for you in a way that aligns with your family values, works towards your visions of the present and future and defines the purposes of your wealth and advances your family goals.

Determine your business value and transition options

We work closely with our internal and extended team of investment bankers, attorneys, accountants and strategic consultants to help you identify the current value of your business and your assets. We then build a team of middle market professionals from RBC and our network of outside advisors that focus on advising you through the challenges of a business transition with the goal of providing you maximum value and flexibility so you can meet the goals of your business and your family.

Discover the value of your current and future life

Valuing one’s current and future life can be complicated. We have a propriety discovery and valuation process that allows us to value your current life and your life over a 10, 20 to 30-year period. We work with you to determine what you will spend throughout your lifetime. What do you want to buy? What do you want to do? What are my living expenses? What do I want to leave for a legacy? We review all of your assets and documents including your estate plan, insurance policies, investment assets, tax returns, and real estate. We then input all this data into RBC WealthPlan financial planning tools and are able to look forward 10, 20 or 30+ years into the future and place a value on your current and future life.

Match your business value and personal life value — get your number

We work with our business transition team to understand the after tax proceeds of the business transition. We input business proceed information into RBC WealthPlan, match it to your personal life valuation and answer the question “Do I have enough?”

The plan can also provide you with “What if” scenarios on demand when circumstances in your life change and you need to better understand the short- and long-term implications of those important family and financial decisions.

Your RBC WealthPlan also acts as your permanent blueprint and document for all your expenses, goals, investments, real estate, liabilities, insurance policies and estate plan. We organize all your information in one place, where you can access any time at your fingertips.

This real-time information can also help you answer pressing questions immediately.

How do I get to my financial information quickly?

Do I have enough?

How am I doing?

Am I going to be okay?
