David joined RBC Wealth Management after 10 years with Merrill Lynch as a PIA Certified Portfolio Manager and Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA). Prior to entering the financial services industry, he spent six years working for an international automotive corporation as a regional sales manager responsible for the New York/New Jersey Metro Area.

David advises families, business owners, corporate clients and Home Owners Associations in developing financial strategies. His approach is client-centered wealth management with particular emphasis on the formulation of appropriate risk-based goal development. David received his Bachelor of Science degree in business with an emphasis in marketing from San Diego State University. 

David has also received his Certified Investment Management Analyst designation from The Wharton School in 2004. He specializes in individual portfolio construction and management, liquidity strategies, and wealth management planning strategies.

In July of 2011, David completed the Accredited Wealth Manager Program and earned RBC Wealth Management's professional designation of Accredited Wealth Manager (AWM). Geared toward meeting the specialized needs of individuals, this advanced-level program builds on the fundamentals of wealth management, with a focus on the sophisticated knowledge and skills necessary to gain a deeper understanding of your individual financial objectives. By earning this professional designation, David demonstated advanced knowledge of RBC Wealth Management's process, concentrating in the areas of business and retirement planning, insurance solutions, charitable giving, advanced investment strategies, and estate planning strategies for high net worth clients. The program also offers high-level insight on how to collaborate with other professionals, such as attorneys or accountants, to create better, more unified wealth strategies.

David has a wife, Heidi and two sons, Parker and Hunter. He is active in the community and coaches his sons’ basketball teams. He also enjoys reading, traveling and is an avid golfer.

Melissa Kenshalo, CFP®, CRPC®

Melissa joined the Swan Wealth Mangement Group in 2017 after spending 12 years at Merrill Lynch. She has assisted clients in pursuing their financial goals since 2001 when she began in the financial services industry. Melissa completed Georgetown University's executive certificate program in financial planning through their Center for Professional Development. 

After completing the extensive curriculum required, she earned her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP®) certificate. CFP® professionals are dedicated to the highest level of service and ethical standards. The intensive program requirements helped her gain a greater understanding of risk management techniques, as well as insurance, taxes, estate and retirement planning and investments. These topics of study allow CFP® professionals to enhance their client relationships and add value toward helping clients achieve their financial objectives. Melissa also obtained her Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) designation. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in finance from Wofford College, where she also played soccer. 

Melissa enjoys spending her spare time with her husband and their 5-year-old daughter, participating in Rotary events and playing soccer. 

Gresell Wedel

Prior to joining RBC Wealth Management in 2013, Gresell worked as a senior registered client associate for Morgan Stanley from 2011-2013 and as a senior client associate for Merrill Lynch from 1999-2011. She has her Series 7, 63 and 66 securities licenses and helps manage client accounts and maintain client relationships.

Gresell and her husband, Jim, have a son, Brandon; daughter, Kaeli; and dog, Sami. She volunteers with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, is fluent in Spanish and enjoys reading, jigsaw puzzles, dancing and exercising.
