The Wealth Management Process at the Green and Henwood Wealth Management Group begins with asset management, a process that does not begin until we have a thorough understanding of each client’s investment objective, as well as their risk tolerance, income needs, liquidity requirements, time horizon and tax position. We will suggest an asset allocation strategy using equities, fixed income and cash based upon these factors in counsel with each client.
To accommodate differences in client objectives and risk tolerances (in addition to asset allocation) we have two equity portfolio variations – one with capital appreciation primarily in mind and one tilted toward equity income. Our fixed income portfolios are likewise positioned with two different views on risk tolerance – one is invested for total return and one is invested with a focus on preservation of principal.
Asset allocation decisions will change with our market views and shifting client situations. Clients can expect periodic meetings to provide updates on our views of the markets and performance, while allowing us to learn of any changes in their objectives and risk tolerance. We aim to provide context to each client’s financial situation – analyzing whether they are prepared for retirement or may have an estate planning need. We are well versed in retirement planning and we leverage RBC knowledge of estate wealth planning to work with our clients' accountants and attorneys to develop ideas to distribute their estate in a tax efficient manner.
Life insurance and annuity reviews are an important component of most clients’ financial health. Our team at RBC Wealth Management enables us to analyze existing policies to ensure our clients have the most cost effective policies and adequate coverage.
Securities based lending, charitable giving plans and education funding are other areas where we are well equipped to offer solutions.
We strive to provide an exceptional client experience throughout the wealth management process. In addition to periodic meetings and quarterly performance reports, we pride ourselves on being accessible to our clients for any questions or needs. Other services provided to make our clients’ financial lives easier include automated funds wiring, online account access and automatic bill pay.
RBC Wealth Management does not provide tax or legal advice. We will work with your independent tax/legal advisor to help create a plan tailored to your specific needs.
