Gordon is the founder of the Nearing and Dallas Wealth Management Group and has over 40 years of financial services experience. He and his team provide their investment and wealth planning expertise in helping wealthy individuals, their families, and their businesses build, preserve, and transfer wealth in a tax conscious manner.
Gordon works to stay in the forefront of the industry through pursuing ongoing learning via continuing education requirements for his professional designations and attending advanced planning and investment symposia. He also participates in executive education programs held at leading universities to provide clients with insight on a wide range of wealth management and financial service topics.
Gordon is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, a certification awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., and holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designation, awarded by the Investments & Wealth Institute. More recently, he completed the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) course by the Investments & Wealth Institute, a program designed to better meet the needs of high-net-worth clients. Gordon is a qualified portfolio manager who, in addition to providing traditional advice and guidance, can help clients pursue their objectives by building and managing his own personalized or defined strategies, which may incorporate individual stocks and bonds, model portfolios, and third party investment strategies. In 2022 and 2023, he was recognized as a Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Advisor.
Gordon earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business in Philadelphia, going on to earn an MBA in international finance from Georgia State University in Atlanta.
Gordon and his wife, Barrett, reside in Jensen Beach, Florida. He has two adult children and is a proud grandfather. Gordon takes a family-centered approach to community involvement. Among his philanthropic endeavors, he is a former endowment board member of the Hibiscus Children’s Center, a nonprofit organization working to better the lives of neglected and abused children. Additionally, he is a major financial supporter of the Council on Aging, as well as for Celebrities For Kids, Inc., a charity offering support to children with cancer and their families.
