Reese started his professional career as a senior analyst at Abt Associates in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he was involved with working on programs that would help boost employment in rural and poverty-stricken areas. He then spent time as the executive director of the Boston Business Resource Center, where they provided training and consulting and training to minority entrepreneurs. Reese also started, managed, and sold Teton Video Company in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, which produced recreational and instructional videos for the Jackson Hole Ski Resort. He has experience in the insurance business, having served as the director of training and head of the life and health insurance division at Sage Insurance in Bend.
Reese began his career in the financial services industry with Merrill Lynch in 1999, moving to Morgan Stanley in 2007 as a financial advisor and portfolio manager in 1999, and joined RBC Wealth Management in 2016. He received his Series 6 in 1994 and Series 7 in 1995 while with Sage, and affiliated at the time with Securities Service Network, broker-dealer.
Reese earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Harvard and his MBA from Stanford. Passionate about education, he is the founding executive director of the Small Business Development Center at Central Oregon Community College, established to provide training and management assistance to small business in Central Oregon.
