Steve founded Retirement Plan Advisors (RPA) in 1989 in an effort to provide independent and objective assistance and advice to retirement plan sponsors during an era in which most consultants were simply purveyors of products. Graduating from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History, Steve spent seven years in the U S Army as a helicopter pilot. He was also the president of a multi store retail chain for twelve years prior to entering the financial services industry. He is active as a volunteer in the Seattle area where he is currently the Chair of the Northwest Kidney Centers Investment Committee and an active volunteer for the organization as well. Also a former member of the their Finance Committee, he has held similar positions with the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Washington and the Redmond, Washington, Chamber of Commerce. Steve and his wife Peggy live in Bellevue, Washington, and have three children and six (currently) grandchildren. Steve is an elite level rollerblader as well as an elite level wine drinker.

Scott Merriman

Scott has been a Financial Advisor with the Retirement Plan Advisors since 1991. Scott is the team leader, providing operational guidance and strategic direction for the team. A graduate of Whitman College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics, Scott earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst designation from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and the Accredited Investment Fiduciary designation awarded through the University of Pittsburgh.

Scott is a relationship manager partnering with Plan Sponsors to provide investment and retirement plan consulting. He is also involved in our business development efforts and is passionate about providing information about the Retirement Plan industry to Plan Sponsors.

Scott and his wife Tiffany and their four children reside in Seattle where he is avid bicyclist and stand up paddle boarder.

Jerome D. Bosch

Jerry became a Financial Advisor with the Retirement Plan Advisors in March, 2008, joining the group after a 25 year career at Wachovia Securities and predecessor firms. While at Wachovia, Jerry was a member of the firm’s Retirement Plan Advisory Council, responsible for training other advisers about best practices in retirement plan consulting and implementation while running his own consulting practice within the firm serving clients both large and small.

As a retirement plan consultant to his institutional clients, Jerry oversees all aspects of the RBC relationship from fiduciary governance to investment monitoring and employee education. In working as a trusted partner with his clients, Jerry’s goal is to become an extension of their organization to achieve the best retirement plan possible.

Graduating from the University of Washington School of Business with a concentration in accounting, Jerry began his business career with Arthur Andersen & Company as a staff accountant. Sensing greater career opportunities with his financial background, he joined EF Hutton in 1983 in the then fledgling investment consulting industry. Jerry is an active volunteer in the Seattle area as well as in Spokane where is a past member of the Board of Directors for Gonzaga Prep School and the School’s Foundation Board. Currently Jerry is a volunteer advisor to the Gonzaga Prep’s Foundation.

Jerry and his wife Carolyn are proud empty nester parents of three. When not working, Jerry enjoys as many outdoor activities the Northwest’s seasons will allow.

E. Brooke Hawley

Brooke has been a member of the Retirement Plan Advisors team since 2002. As a Financial Advisor, Brooke and her team partner with plan sponsors to provide retirement plan consulting. In addition, she has a passion for working with retirement plan participants to provide an exceptional education and communication experience to help ensure their retirement readiness.

Brooke brings years of banking and financial experience to the team as well as exceptional communication skills and unparalleled enthusiasm. Brooke's broad experience with the team over the past 15 years plus assures our clients of best practices services delivered to all plan sponsor clients and their employees.

Brooke holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in organizational communications from the University of Montana and holds her Series 7, 65 and 66 Securities licenses. Brooke is an avid runner, enjoys playing tennis and involved in many civic, educational and community organizations. Brooke enjoys spending time with her husband, young son and golden retriever, Wallace. She maintains offices in Seattle as well as Spokane.

Chris Rogers, AWM

Chris represents the Rogers family's fourth generation of financial advisors, and he leads our team’s private client practice, developing retirement income plans and related wealth strategies to help our clients achieve their most important goals. He studied finance and economics while earning an MBA with honors from the University of Washington. Chris also attained RBC’s internal Accredited Wealth Manager (AWM) designation through an education program sponsored by the firm and Michigan State University. For over 15 years Chris has been an active volunteer with Social Venture Partners, serving on its board and various committees to advance a sustainable, equitable Puget Sound region. Chris, his wife Heidi, and their two teenage children live in Seattle and spend as much time as they can in favorite parks, fields, and forests.

Sean Collins

Sean partners with private clients to provide personalized, comprehensive wealth management planning. He specializes in developing retirement income plans to help individuals create a secure retirement income stream and as a framework to help guide them through all aspects of their financial lives.  He joined RBC Wealth Management's Retirement Plan Advisors group in 2010 where he developed expertise in collecting, analyzing, and preparing financial data for the quarterly investment reporting process, utilizing economic and market trend data to provide perspective on investment performance. A popular presenter, Sean regularly provides educational sessions on retirement plan structure, investment approaches and withdrawal strategies. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Nevada Las Vegas with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He lives in Seattle, WA, with his wife Joanna and daughter Evelyn. Together they enjoy traveling, hiking, and backpacking. 

Joseph Eschbach, CFA

Joe been a consulting analyst with the group since 2000, providing clients with fund recommendations and analysis on over $4 billion in assets under advisement. In his position as a Senior Consultant with Retirement Plan Advisors, Joe is responsible for managing the investment consulting group, providing plan sponsors with detailed analysis and recommendations on their plans’ investments.

Joe is a graduate of Colorado College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF). In his over 25 years of investment experience, Joe has worked as a retirement plan sponsor for a major retail chain as well as an investment research analyst for the Frank Russell Company specializing in international investment management.

Joe volunteers with the Northwest Kidney Centers and loves outdoor recreation and the mountains. He and his wife Deanne have two sons and live in Bellevue, Washington.

Robin O'Connor

Robin has worked in client relations and operations roles at RBC Wealth Management since 1993. She holds a General Securities Registration and State Securities Registration. A 2010 Award of Excellence winner, Robin enjoys helping our clients navigate all administrative and investment issues and simplify their financial lives. She is a graduate of Olympic College, has two daughters and is active in the lives of her 3 grandchildren. Robin is an avid downhill skier and enjoys travel and biking.

Liz Hawley

Liz has dedicated herself to providing exceptional client service in the finance industry for 18 years. She joined RBC in 2006. A few of the many things she assists Financial Advisors and private clients with are trades, transferring securities and funds, creating, updating and terminating accounts, reviewing client portfolios and financial information, settling estates, communicating account information, generating reports, etc. Provides assistance to retirement plan team members and participants. She graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration.

Sean Howard

Sean has been a Consultant – Client Analyst with the Retirement Plan Advisors since 2016. Sean assists the team with organizing investment reports, financial data, and deliverables for clients.  A graduate of Washington State University with two Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Finance and Marketing, Sean is a current candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level I.

Sean resides in Bellevue, Washington, where he has a passion for the outdoors and Washington State University Cougar Football.

Jessica Poznick

Jessica originally joined the Retirement Plan Advisors in 1997 where she assisted the team in administration and education. She rejoined the team in 2017 and brings over 20 years of experience in the financial industry with her. Jessica currently has many different roles including: administrative support, meeting schedules, onboarding of new retirement plans and participant education. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana.

Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband, Darren, and daughter, Lucy. Her family resides in West Seattle where they appreciate biking, hiking and everything Seattle has to offer.

Brittany Winkelman

Brittany Winkelman is our new Client Associate and is thrilled to be joining the RBC team. Brittany has over ten years’ experience working in the financial industry and came to us from TIAA-CREF. There, she worked in Operations services, Participant services working with Individual clients, as well as Institutional services working with Plan Sponsors to improve their retirement plans. Brittany has a wealth of knowledge working with 403(b) plans, non-profit organizations and navigating the complexities of ERISA regulation. Brittany attended Colorado State University and studied Business Management. She is currently Series 6 and 63 licensed and holds Variable Annuity, Health and Life Insurance licenses in the state of Washington. When Brittany is not working she enjoys spending time with her husband, two young sons, and fur babies. She loves to hike, practice yoga and most of all, cheer on her beloved Denver Broncos!

Karlee Stanford

Karlee joined the Retirement Plan Advisors in 2018 as a Client Associate. She develops education and communication efforts for retirement plan participants and provides customized educational information to each retirement plan client. Karlee is a graduate of Central Washington University with two Bachelor of Science degrees in Economics and Business Administration, Finance.

Karlee lives in Sammamish, Washington and enjoys hiking, running and many other outdoor activities.

Our team includes specialists in the areas of investment analysis, custom education and communication, plus operations and conversions. We work with our clients on all aspects of plan development and ongoing management to create a retirement plan experience that helps meet the needs of the participants we serve.
